Messaging apps
Overview of cloud messaging channels you can connect to Zora Support—WhatsApp, Messenger, Slack, Telegram, and more.
Zora Support unifies customer messages from popular apps into the same inbox as your website chat. Connect channels from your cloud workspace; each app has its own sync steps in the admin.
Included channels (overview)
| Channel | Typical use | | --- | --- | | WhatsApp | High-intent customer chat; templates for outbound notices | | Messenger | Facebook / Meta page conversations | | Telegram | Bot-based support for communities and products | | Slack | Internal alerts and agent collaboration around tickets | | LINE / Viber / WeChat / Zalo | Regional messaging where your audience already is | | X (Twitter) | Public and direct-message style support workflows | | Google Business Messages | Local / Maps customer inquiries |
Commerce and helpdesk companions such as Shopify, Tickets, and Zendesk also appear under Apps when enabled on your plan.
How channel conversations work
- Connect the app with the credentials or OAuth flow shown in the admin.
- Map the channel to a department or default agent when prompted.
- Messages arrive as normal conversations—searchable, assignable, and archivable.
- Agents reply in Zora; delivery follows each network’s rules (for example WhatsApp template windows).
Channel-specific features (WhatsApp templates and flows, Messenger sync, Telegram bot token, Slack workspace linking) are configured inside each app’s settings panel after connection.
Best practices
- Use one department per major channel if different teams own them.
- Keep bot and human hours aligned across web and messaging.
- Test with a private contact before announcing a new channel.
- Respect each platform’s messaging policies—especially outbound WhatsApp templates.
